Ceilidh

So what's a  Ceilidh?  Well, the Oxford Paperback Dictionary says its an informal gathering for music and dancing etc . . .

Words have a life of their own! Ceilidh traditionally means a celebration of being members of the community by members of the community, through Arts such as -

                                            Poetry                                 Ideas                                    Dance

                                            Verse                                 Music                                    Painting

As above. The Ceilidh traditionally is a way of bringing the community together through celebration, sharing the gifts and experiences of all members of the community through the expression of Art. Community members are not judged on their skill but on their willingness to share and be part of the celebration of their Community.
